Indication and Application of Actions on Buildings in Power Plants - Print
The aim of this VGB standard is to provide a consistent procedure for the definition, classification and processing of actions on load-bearing structures for the construc-tion of power plants. It is also intended to cover significant influences of operation-induced fluctuating states like the filling levels of tanks and the frequency and pro-cesses of filling and emptying operations.

This is a redraft of the previous VGB Guideline “Indication and Application of Actions on Buildings in Power Plants”, VGB-R 602e, 2005 edition, made necessary by amendments to the higher-ranking, relevant European standards and making allow-ance for the latest practical findings and experience. All cited actions, their combina-tions with safety factors, and the minimum design and geometric requirements shall apply regardless of the specific project. As additional type of action, “actions due to fire” have been integrated.
