The first edition of the Guideline “Function-related documentation of power plant instrumentation and control in line with operating requirements", original title "Richtlinie für die betriebsgerechte, funktionsbezogene Dokumentation der Kraftwerksleittechnik“ (VGB-R 170 C), was published in 1989. The following realizations were converted: - the documentation provided by the I&C system manufacturers did not always meet the operational requirements, - the digital control technology and its planning means brought about new requirements and new possibilities.
